Skylum has rolled out a new update to its Aurora HDR software, which it claims makes the software up to 500% faster on Windows machines and 180% faster on Mac.

Specifically, Skylum says the Aurora HDR performance update boosts its speed by up to 180% on MacOS computers when working with bracketed shots and 175% when working with single images.

On Windows computers, Aurora HDR is now 500% faster when working with bracketed shots and 400% for single images, Skylum says. Aurora HDR also now makes better use of memory, with more intelligent management and improved stability.

Other additions include a new batch processing tool for Windows users (the Mac version already has this), a flip/rotate tool, histogram functionality in the tone curve filter and the option to rename layers.
