Sigma releases firmware updates for Nikon F, Canon EF lenses, MC-11 converter

Sigma has released a slew of firmware updates for its Nikon F- and Canon EF-mount lenses, as well as its MC-11 mount converter.

Sigma’s Nikon F-mount firmware updates fix a number reported bugs that affect video recording, AF and over-exposure in its Art lenses. Four lenses in total have received updates, which include the Sigma 24-35mm F2 DG HSM | Art, 50mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, 85mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art and 135mm F1.8 DG HSM | Art.

The Sigma 24-35mm F2 DG HSM | Art, 500mm F4 DG OS HSM | Sports and 18-300 mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary Canon EF-mount lenses have received a new Lens Aberration Correction function via the new firmware.

Finally, Sigma’s Mount Converter MC-11 SA-E and EF-E have both been updated. The MC-11 SA-E version is now compatible with the Sigma 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, while the EF-E version is now compatible with the latest firmware for the 500mm F4 DG OS HSM | Sports, 24-35mm F2 DG HSM | Art, 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM | Contemporary, 28mm F1.4 DG HSM | Art, CINE LENS FF High Speed Prime Line 28mm T1.5 FF for CANON EF mount and 40mm T1.5 FF for CANON EF mount.
