Sigma has announced the fp L, price tag £2,449.99, its latest full-frame mirrorless camera boasting 61-megapixel resolution.
The Sigma fp L joins what the company calls the world’s smallest and lightest series of full-frame mirrorless cameras. Inside is a 61MP back-illuminate full-frame Bayer sensor, the highest ever on a Sigma camera. This sensor also incorporates a low pass filter to reduce moire.
Sigma has also added a new Crop Zoom feature for both stills and video which allows users to digitally zoom into the frame as they shoot. In video mode, the fp L can record in full HD quality, even at its maximum 5x zoom, without downgrading the image quality.
Sigma has also developed a new hybrid AF system that combines contrast and phase detection performance.
Other features include a 0.5in, 3.68 million-dot organic EL panel, 15 Color Modes, frame guides, screenshot capability and USB charging while the fp L is in use, which means you can connect it to an external power source on location or even use it as a webcam.
You can also now save custom camera settings as QR code.
