Sigma will release a major firmware update to the fp camera this summer, which will add CinemaDNG shooting and a host of other features.
Firmware version 2.0 for the Sigma fp will add CinemaDNG shooting at 120/100fps (FHD 8-bit), as well as HDR shooting and still image shooting during live view and movie shooting in Cine mode.
Other new features from firmware version 2.0 include cinema graph functionality and movie recording with the Director’s Viewfinder.
The Sigma fp will also support the Software Development Kit.
Sigma hasn’t given a firm date for the firmware release, but said it will be available in summer 2020.
