Shimoda photo bags arrive in the UK

News

Shimoda initially launched through Kickstarter reaching their funding goals in just 30 hours. Such was the interest that the company was quickly picked up by MAC Group Europe and now the Shimoda photo bags arrive in the UK.

Shimoda aim to do things a little differently and have designed their photo bag range with real-world adventure photographers in mind.

Already favoured by adventurous types such as travellers, bikers, boards, water and snow enthusiasts the brand has lined up an impressive series of early ambassadors.

Founder Ian Millar, states: ‘The Shimoda Explore camera bag system was born as a result of the pain, fatigue, and suffering we and our adventure photographer friends found ourselves facing in the mountains. We created a system designed to function in – and stand up to – the extreme mountain conditions we inevitably face.’

Keeping things simple is at the heart of Shimoda and intuitive design elements used alongside advanced materials and techniques have enabled them to create bags that help to minimise that pain and fatigue discussed by founder Ian Millar.

Each backpack in the range is made from extremely weather-resistant super light resin-coated nylon material. They also make full use of Waterproof Splashguard™ YKK® zippers.

What makes the Shimoda bags unique is their modular design, you pick the outer and then choose from a series of modular inserts; Core units and accessory cases for the interior.

These inserts can be configured to give you ten different configurations, meaning you can truly make the bag unique to you and your way of working.

As well as the physical bag designs to choose fyou also have two colours Blue Nights and Sea Pine. Ensuring complimentary style runs throughout the core units and accessories are available in Parisian Night and River Blue

The bag range will include
