Seagate has released a new portable hard drive for drone photographers and videographers, introducing the LaCie DJI Copilot, price tag $349.

The LaCie DJI Copilot was launched as part of Seagate’s partnership with DJI, and boasts 2TB of storage, which equates to about 65 hours of 4K video filmed at 30fps, plus 20,000 raw photos.

The device is designed for drone users to both back up their content as well as review it at full resolution without a computer.

Users can do this via a built-in screen on the LaCie DJI Copilot, which is controlled via an app from their smartphone. The app allows for full-res playback and also lets users organise content.

The drive supports drones, cameras, USB devices and SD cards, allowing you to directly copy your content onto the device.

The Seagate LaCie DJI Copilot will be released in the spring.
