Saramonic has launched a new wireless mic line-up that offers a signal range of up to 100 metres, introducing the UwMic9 microphones.

When there is a clear line of sight and no interference, Saramonic’s UK distributor Kenro says that the UwMic9 microphones can reach up to 100 metres.

The Saramonic TX-XLR9 Plug-on XLR Transmitter, price tag £155.94, will convert your conventional XLR mics to wireless operation, eliminating the need to replace your existing audio equipment, Kenro says.

The TX-XLR9 transmitter features a wide switching RF bandwidth, +48V phantom power and a mute function. It also works with the UwMic9 RX9 dual-channel receiver.

Also launched is a new Saramonic HU9 handheld wireless microphone transmitter, priced at £155.94, which boasts a compact metal body, an RF power switch and a PLL synthesiser. Billed as broadcast-ready, the microphone also comes with a built-in antenna, muting function and a power lock function.

For location shoots, Kenro has also debuted the Saramonic UHF Wireless Microphone RX9 wireless receiver and TX9 compact transmitter kit, price tag £275.94.

The RX9 camera-mountable integrated wireless receiver features a wide switching RF bandwidth, infrared synchronisation between transmitter and receiver and it comes with an auto-scan function so that it can automatically search for an available transmission frequency.

Other features include a headphone jack that enables real-time monitoring via headphones.

The accompanying TX9 transmitter uses a crystal-controlled PLL synthesiser and comes equipped with a muting function, a BMP-type microphone input connector and an omni-directional lavalier microphone. You can also switch the RF power output between high, middle and low.

To address interview situations where it might be necessary to wirelessly mic up more than one person there’s also a package available that pairs the RX9 wireless receiver with two TX9 transmitters complete with omnidirectional lavalier microphones, and this is available at £419.94.

The TX9 audio transmitter, priced £143.94, is also available as a separate unit, meaning that you can expand your wireless audio set up as necessary.
