Sandmarc has announced a 1.33x Anamorphic lens for the iPhone, which features a multi-element construction, multiple coatings and anti-reflective cinema glass.
Sandmarc’s 1.33x Anamorphic Lens offers a 2.4:1 wide aspect ratio enabling cinema-like videos for iPhone filmmakers. With its oval bokeh, the Anamorphic lens uses a popular cinema camera technique that captures more horizontal information by squeezing the image.
Sandmarc says it also features a lens flare effect similar to the effects in movies. The barrel of the new Sandmarc cinema lens is made of aluminium to keep it lightweight at just 46g.
The new Sandmarc Anamorphic lens is compatible with the iPhone X, XS, XS Max and XR, as well as the iPhone 8 / 8 Plus and iPhone 7 / 7 Plus. It also comes with a case and a clip and is priced $160.
