SanDisk has launched a 400GB micro SDXC UHS-I card, priced $249.99 / £224.99, which it claims is the world’s highest capacity card of its kind.

The company, a subsidiary of storage giant Western Digital, says that photographers will be able to transfer 1,200 images per minute onto the card, which offers a 100MB read speed.

The SanDisk 400GB micro-SDXC card has 10-year warranty and is also waterproof, shockproof and can even withstand X-Rays and extreme temperatures.
