Samyang, known as Rokinon in the US market, has announced a new range of XEEN CF cinema prime lenses.
Designed to support 8K video capture and large sensors, the new XEEN CF full-frame cinema lenses will be available in Sony E, Canon EF and PL mounts.
The new XEEN CF range will consist of five lenses, with the 24mm, 50mm and 85mm optics set for release in the third quarter of this year. They will be followed by 16mm and 35mm models in the first half of 2020.
Each Samyang (Rokinon) XEEN CF lens will offer a fast T1.5 aperture and an 11-blade diaphragm. The lenses will also be compatible with drones and timbales.
Samyang’s XEEN CF lenses are also the first full-frame cinema lenses to use carbon fibre in the lens barrel, which helps make them compact and lightweight.
