Samyang, also known as Rokinon in some markets, has announced the ‘world’s first’ AF 14mm f/2.8 for Canon RF mount, price tag £629.
The new ultra-wide-angle lens for Canon EOS R-series cameras offers a 113.9-degree angle of view in a compact design.
The Samyang/Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 RF is comprised of 14 elements in 10 groups, with six special elements that include three aspherical lenses, one high refraction and two extra-low dispersion elements.
The AF 14mm f/2.8 also uses a 7-blade aperture for circular booked. Its body is also weather-sealed to protect it from dust and moisture.
Other features include a rear filter holder on the mount and a new Lens Station that allows you to update the lens’s firmware via USB.
Samyang/Rokinon launched manual focus 14mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.4 lenses for Canon RF mounts earlier this year. The AF 14mm f/2.8 will be released in November.
You can buy Samyang lenses from retailers such as Wex Photo Video in the UK, and Rokinon lenses are available at Adorama and B&H Photo Video in the US.
