No formal press statement appears to have been distributed, but in the company’s post on social media Samyang says the XP 35mm f/1.2 is designed for shooting 50-megapixel images and 8K video.
The new Samyang lens is comprised of 12 elements in 10 groups, which includes one extra-low dispersion, two aspherical and three high-refractive elements.
The XP 35mm f/1.2 also uses a nine-blade aperture for strong bokeh. Other features include a close focusing distance of 0.34m and a filter thread of 86mm.
The Samyang XP 35mm f/1.2 price tag is $999.
