Samyang has announced what it’s calling the ‘world’s widest, non-fisheye prime lens,’ introducing the XP 10mm f/3.5 – price tag £949.99 – for full-frame Canon and Nikon DSLRs.

The new Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 incorporates 18 elements in 11 groups, with seven special optical elements that help improve image quality from edge-to-edge.

The Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 also uses three aspherical elements, three extra-low dispersion elements and one high-refractive element to help keep distortion and aberrations at bay.

Flare and ghosting are also controlled by Samyang’s Ultra-Multi-Coating technology.

Offering a 130-degree angle of view, the Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 is aimed at landscape and architectural photographers.

The Canon mount version of the Samyang XP 10mm f/3.5 will be released in March 2019, with a Nikon F-mount version to follow soon after.
