Samyang, also known as Rokinon, has announced the AF 35mm F1.4 FE II, designed for use with full-frame Sony E-mount and Sony APS-C cameras.
The AF 35mm F1.4 FE II is a second-generation version of Samyang’s popular Sony standard prime lens. New additions over the previous version include a Focus Hold button and a Custom Switch.
The new Focus Hold button will keep the lens locked at your desired focusing distance, while the Custom Switch can be set to let you adjust the aperture silently by rotating the focus ring.
The Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE construction also features two aspherical elements, helping deliver edge-to-edge sharpness, even at maximum aperture.
Samyang’s Linear Stepping Motor helps provide accurate subject tracking with quiet AF performance. The new AF 35mm F1.4 FE II is also better constructed for videographers, helping to minimise vibrations and noise.
The Samyang AF 35mm F1.4 FE II price and release date weren’t revealed at the time of writing.
