Samyang, also known as Rokinon, has announced its first AF lens for Fujifilm X-series cameras, introducing the Samyang AF 12mm F2 X, price tag £335.

Samyang’s new ultra-wide-angle AF 12mm F2 X is comprised of 12 elements in 10 groups, of which there are five special lens elements. The compact and lightweight lens also boasts a 14-layer Ultra-Multi-Coating to help suppress backlight, and the lens barrel has also been weather sealed to protect it in wet conditions.

Minimum focus is just 20cm with the Samyang AF 12mm F2 X and the bright f/2.0 aperture and seven-blade diaphragm produces natural looking bokeh and shallow depth of field effects.

The first AF lens from Samyang for the Fujifilm X mount, the AF 12mm F2 X promises a fast and quiet AF performance and is aimed at landscape photographers.

Compatible cameras include the Fujifilm X-H1, X-S10, X-Pro 1, X-Pro 2, X-Pro 3, X-E1, X-E2, X-E2s, X-E3, X-E4, X-T1, X-T2, X-T3, X-T4, X-T10, X-T20, X-T30 and X-T30 II.

The Samyang AF 12mm F2 X price tag is £335 and is available now.
