Samyang, also known as Rokinon, has announced a new 14mm T3.1 addition to its VDSLR MK cine lens range.

The new 14mm T3.1 VDSLR MK2 joins the existing 24mm T1.5, 35mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5 and 85mm T1.5 lenses in the series. Like the other VDSLR MK2 lenses, the new 14mm T1.5 cover full-frame sensors and are available for Canon EF, Canon RF, Canon M, Sony E, Nikon F, Fujifilm X and Micro Four Thirds mounts.

Inside the 14mm T3.1 VDSLR MK2 are four special lens elements, including an aspherical element to reduce aberrations, a hybrid aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements.

The new Samyang lens weighs just 525.8g and measures 7.47cm long, and is weather sealed to protect it from dust, rain and snow.

Other features include a nine-blade aperture and focus distance scales on both sides of the lens body.

The Samyang 14mm T3.1 price tag is still yet to be announced, and a release date is set for February 2021.
