Samsung has unveiled its latest consumer SSD, the 9100 PRO, featuring PCIe 5.0 technology and ultra-fast read and write speeds, making it an ideal solution for photographers, videographers, and creative professionals working with large files and high-resolution content.
For those handling high-bitrate 8K video, RAW photo processing, or AI-driven creative tasks, storage speed is a critical factor in maintaining a smooth workflow. The 9100 PRO delivers sequential read speeds of up to 14,800MB/s and write speeds of up to 13,400MB/s, nearly twice as fast as the previous generation 990 PRO SSD. Additionally, random read and write speeds reach up to 2,200K IOPS and 2,600K IOPS, ensuring rapid access to large datasets.
Beyond performance, Samsung has enhanced power efficiency by 49%, ensuring creators can work for extended periods without excessive heat generation or power drain. This is further supported by an 8.8mm-thick heatsink on models up to 4TB, while the 8TB version features an 11.25mm-thick heatsink for more effective thermal management.

With storage capacities ranging from 1TB to 8TB, the 9100 PRO provides plenty of room for high-resolution image libraries, 4K/8K video files, and extensive project archives.
