The Rylo 360 camera is now compatible with Android devices, the company has announced on its website, unveiling a new companion app.

The Rylo 360 camera launched last year compatible only with iOS devices, but the company had always promised an Android companion app was soon to follow.

Rylo quietly unveiled its Android app over the weekend, which is compatible with most Android phones running Android 6.0 or newer, the company says. For best results, Rylo recommends using the app on one of the following Android devices:

  • Google Nexus 6P
  • Google Pixel
  • Google Pixel XL
  • Google Pixel 2
  • Google Pixel 2 XL
  • Samsung Galaxy S8
  • Samsung Galaxy S7

The Rylo Android app can also be used on the Google Nexus 5X, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S6; though, the company notes these devices lack the processing power to export a spherical video.

Along with the new Android app, you’ll also need a sync cable; however, it’s not clear yet at the time of writing what type this will be.
