Rode has launched the NT-USB+, price tag $169, an update to its popular professional USB microphone.
Aimed at streamers, vloggers, podcasters, musicians and other professionals who require studio-quality audio, the Rode NT-USB+ retains the form factor of the original NT-USB with some new enhancements.
The NT-USB+ features a studio-grade condenser capsule that evokes the sound of a classic large-diaphragm condenser microphone.
The plug-and-play mic also now comes with an internal DSP, which allows users to apply Rode’s APHEX processing to their audio. This includes a high-pass filter for cutting out low-end rumble, a noise gate for eliminating background noise, a compressor for balancing sound and Rode’s Aural Exciter and Big Bottom effects. All of these effects can be applied via Rode’s companion app.
Other features include a high-gain Revolution Preamp, 24-bit/48kHz analog-to-digital conversion and headphone output with level and mix controls.
The Rode NT-USB+ is available now.
