Rode has announced the NT-USB Mini, price tag $99, a new compact USB microphone aimed at vloggers and podcasters.

The plug-and-play microphone promises professional-sounding audio thanks to a high-quality condenser capsule and a directional cardioid pickup pattern that is optimised to reduce extraneous noise.

An in-built pop filter helps reduce plosives, and the NT-USB Mini also features a studio-grade headphone amplifier and 3.5mm headphone output.

There’s also a switchable zero-latency monitoring mode for removing echoes when tracking vocals.

Other features include a 360-degree swing mount for easy positioning.

The Rode NT-USB Mini price tag is (US)$99 and is available now from retailers such as B&H Photo Video and Wex Photo Video.
