Ricoh has released a new app for Mac computers which allows users to shoot tethered with the GR III and GR II, as well as Pentax K1 and KP cameras.

The new app, called Wi-Fi Control for Cameras, allows you to control your Ricoh or Pentax camera remotely, as well as download photos and video.

Other features include an EXIF Viewer and Cleaner and a Depth of Field Calculator.

As an in-app purchase you can also find out the shutter count for your camera. This add-on feature supports more than just Ricoh and Pentax cameras. It lets you determine the shutter count for Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and Canon cameras, as well. Canon cameras, however, require a USB cable.

You can get the new Ricoh app from the App Store. The Ricoh GR III is available from B&H Photo Video in the US, and from Wex Photo Video in the UK.
