The Reflex 1 film camera has officially launched on Kickstarter, priced at £350, which boasts an interchangeable lens mount plate.

One of the signature features of the Reflex 1 film camera is its Reflex I-Plate, which is an interchangeable lens-mount plate that allows users to adapt most manual legacy glass such as Nikon (F-mount), Canon (FD), Olympus (OM) and Pentax (PK).

Reflex ships with a standard M42 mount, but alternative mounts are optional.

The Reflex 1 also brings an app to analogue photography. The Reflex App will automatically record the camera settings for each frame taken with the Reflex 1, allowing photographers recall their preferred camera settings for later shots.

What’s more, the Reflex App sends a push notification to the photographer, prompting them to make a digital note of the image just taken.

The Reflex 1 also boasts a Reflex I-Back, which is a daylight interchangeable back that enables users to load film easier – while multiple film backs will let you have film loaded at all times.

The Reflex 1 is the first 35mm SLR to be launched in the last 25 years, the company says, and it will be the first in a new system that will be followed by accessories and other accompanying products.

Reflex 1 Price & Release Date

£350 early bird, £399 upon release in August 2018

The Reflex 1 price tag will be £399 upon its launch, but is currently selling for £350 if you back the project now on its Kickstarter.

The company says that a Reflex 1 release date will be in August 2018, when early backers will start receiving their cameras.
