Polaroid has announced the OneStep 2 i-Type analog instant camera – price tag £109.99 with a 16 October release date – marking the company’s return to instant film cameras.

The company had been teasing something film-based on its website all week, suggesting it would be a camera of some sort. Inspired by its original OneStep, the Polaroid OneStep 2 i-Type camera is designed to work straight out of the box.

The OneStep 2 boasts a 60-day battery life along with a self-timer and flash. Its fixed focus lens can capture sharp images from 2ft to infinity.

Polaroid says the OneStep 2 works with all styles of i-Type film and 600 film. Film packs for the OneStep 2 range in price from £14.99 for the colour and black and white i-Type film to £17.99 for the vintage colour and black and white 600 film.

The Polaroid OneStep 2 weighs just 460g and measures 150 mm (L) x 110 mm (W) x 95 mm (H).
