We are proud to announce that Camera Jabber is now a media partner for Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, the world’s leading awards recognising the art and diversity of food photography and film. The partnership is an exciting development that will enable us to report first hand on the competition. We’ll also be publishing a number of food photography posts to help inspire you to enter.

Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year LogoThe awards competition, launched in 2011, is open to professional and amateur photographers, and celebrates the best food photography from around the world. Since 2011, more than 30,000 images have been submitted from all over the world and are judged by a respected panel which this time includes Food Critic Jay Rayner, Chef Gary Rhodes OBE, Dr Michael Prichard FRPS (Director General of the Royal Photographic Society) and Nigel Atherton (Group Editor of Amateur Photographer and Photo Technique).

A prize fund of over £10,000 is up for grabs along with a top prize of £5000 and the title Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2017. Finalists are also invited to a Champagne Taittinger reception at the world-renowned Mall Galleries, London and their images feature in a five-day public exhibition.

Pink Lady® Food Photography Awards 2017: Categories

The 14 award categories cover every aspect of food in society and there’s something to appeal to everyone. The full list of categories for the 2017 competition is:

 How to enter the Pink Lady® Food Photography Awards competition

Entry is simple, visit the Pink Lady® Food Photography Awards website, and complete the registration form. Once you have selected your images, log-on to your account and upload them. You can upload as many images as your like and they don’t all have to be uploaded at the same time.

There’s a £25 entry fee for up to 5 images with further images costing £5 each. Each entry to the Food Sn-apping category costs £5 with £2 being donated to Action Against Hunger.

Alternatively, a membership package which costs £50 includes five image credits for the competition and attracts up to 40% off off specialist insurance, discounts on subscriptions, box frames, websites and more.

The closing date for the current competition is midnight (GMT) on 5th February 2017 (just 52 days away).
