The partnership is an exciting development that will enable us to report first hand on the competition. We’ll also be publishing a number of food photography posts to help inspire you to enter.
The awards competition, launched in 2011, is open to professional and amateur photographers, and celebrates the best food photography from around the world. Since 2011, more than 30,000 images have been submitted from all over the world and are judged by a respected panel which this time includes Food Critic Jay Rayner, Chef Gary Rhodes OBE, Dr Michael Prichard FRPS (Director General of the Royal Photographic Society) and Nigel Atherton (Group Editor of Amateur Photographer and Photo Technique).
A prize fund of over £10,000 is up for grabs along with a top prize of £5000 and the title Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2017. Finalists are also invited to a Champagne Taittinger reception at the world-renowned Mall Galleries, London and their images feature in a five-day public exhibition.
