It’s the first of December and while many people might be thinking about what’s behind the first door of their Advent calendar, here at Camera Jabber HQ, we’re more interested in the big countdown to the closing date for the Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards competition on 6th February 2018.

To celebrate we’re having a 24-hour site takeover during which the team atPink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Awards will give some tips about how to win the competition! So make sure you check back to our homepage throughout the day.

Why enter Pink Lady® Food Photography Awards 2018?

All the festive fayre around at this time of year and the seasonal bustle of a busy kitchen make December the perfect time to shoot your entry. But if the food itself doesn’t inspire you to reach for your camera, perhaps the thought of the £20,000+ prize fund and £5,000 top prize will.

And of course, winning the coveted title Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year, or being a finalist, also brings a great deal of attention to your photography. In fact, the BBC News Online slideshow of the winning images from last year was seen by 650,000 people in the first 24 hours and shared on Twitter with over 4 million!

If you’re one of the finalists for an award you’ll be invited to attend a VIP reception in London on 24th April where the winners will be announced by Great British Bake-off judge, Prue Leith.
