CYME has released version 1.2 of its innovative plugin, Peakto Search, designed exclusively for macOS users of Adobe Lightroom and Capture One. This latest update introduces several new features, including a Timeline view that automatically organizes photos and videos chronologically, a complete video player, and enhanced search filters. These additions make managing large collections of photos and videos more efficient, enabling photographers and videographers to quickly find and showcase their work without opening their catalogs.

Key Features of Peakto Search 1.2

  1. New Video Player: Peakto Search now offers a comprehensive video playback option. In addition to its existing video summary (scrubber) and contact sheet features, the plugin allows users to play videos in full directly from the interface. Users can search for specific sequences or scenes, and Peakto Search will immediately display all matching videos, which can be viewed in summary form or played in full. This functionality makes it easier to access hidden video content stored in Lightroom and Capture One catalogs.
  2. Timeline View: The new Timeline feature provides a visual representation of a user’s photo and video production over time. This graphic interface automatically displays the number of images and videos taken over different periods, allowing photographers to easily locate content from a specific timeframe. The timeline can be filtered to show specific queries, such as the number of 4-star rated photos or videos over time, providing valuable insights into a user’s body of work.
  3. Advanced Filters: Peakto Search 1.2 introduces new filters that allow users to sort their photos and videos by various criteria, including camera type, shooting conditions (such as ISO and sensitivity), and whether the photos have been edited. These filters help photographers refine their searches, particularly when managing extensive libraries with hundreds of thousands of content items.
  4. Enhanced Data Features: The update adds several new data points to the plugin, such as photo histograms, file sizes, formats, and the locations where photos were taken. Users can also open Apple Maps directly from Peakto Search to view the exact location of a photo shoot, adding another layer of context to their images.

Peakto Search 1.2 enables photographers and videographers to efficiently manage their portfolios without the need to open Lightroom or Capture One. The plugin acts as a powerful tool for organizing and selecting content from multiple catalogs and sessions, leveraging AI to analyze file content locally. This allows users to find images or video sequences based on simple descriptions across different catalogs, simplifying the process of navigating large collections.

Available directly from the menu bar, even when Lightroom and Capture One are closed, Peakto Search functions like a turbocharged version of Apple’s Spotlight, specifically designed to manage photos and videos with AI-powered precision and speed.
