Peak Design has officially entered the roller luggage market with the Roller Pro Carry-On, a travel bag designed from the ground up to challenge industry norms. Featuring a patented low-profile carbon fiber handle, innovative Drawbridge opening, and hybrid soft-hard shell construction, the Roller Pro is built for professionals, photographers, and frequent travelers who demand both style and functionality.
Unlike conventional roller bags that rely on off-the-shelf aluminum handles, the Roller Pro’s carbon fiber design eliminates wasted space inside the bag while offering superior durability and a smoother handling experience. Peak Design’s custom-engineered 60mm wheels, integrated within the bag’s corners, enhance maneuverability across various surfaces, ensuring effortless travel in airports, city streets, and beyond.
Smart storage and hybrid construction
Peak Design’s VersaShell™ fabric-wrapped polycarbonate shell combines the protection of hard-sided luggage with the flexibility of soft-sided materials. This unique construction enhances durability while maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic. The front EDC pocket provides quick access to essentials like passports, chargers, and laptops, making it ideal for business travelers.
Unlike traditional clamshell-style suitcases, the Drawbridge opening system allows users to pack and access items in confined spaces such as airplane aisles or small hotel rooms. The Roller Pro also features an expandable capacity, increasing from 34L to 39L, making it ideal for trips where travelers return with more than they initially packed.
Internally, the organization panel offers dedicated storage for small items or dirty laundry. A hidden AirTag pocket provides discreet tracking, and Peak Design’s Cord Hook™ Internal Retention System secures contents while retracting when not needed. 360-degree grab handles make lifting and stowing the bag easier, while external gear loops allow for carrying extra items like jackets or tripods.

For photographers, the Roller Pro can transform into a mobile workstation. The new X-Large Camera Cube fits perfectly inside the bag, accommodating a 400mm prime lens and additional camera gear. Smaller Camera Cubes can also be used, allowing photographers to switch between travel and shooting modes seamlessly.

Price and availability
The Peak Design Roller Pro Carry-On will be available for pre-order on Kickstarter from 4 March to 17 April 2025, with early backers receiving a discounted price. The bag will launch in three colorways: Black, Eclipse, and Sage, with pricing ranging from $129.95 to $499.95, depending on the item.
Shipping to Kickstarter backers is expected in June 2025, followed by a full retail release on 1 July 2025 via Peak Design’s website, Amazon, and select global retailers. Pricing and availability may change before launch.
