Parrot has launched a new Anafi FPV kit that includes Cockpit glasses that receive live, immersive video from the Anafi drone.
With the new Anafi FPV kit, your smartphone sits inside the Cockpit glasses and delivers live video from the drone via Parrot’s FreeFlight 6.6 app.
The Parrot Anafi features a 180-degree tilting camera that can capture 4K HDR video and 21-megapixel stills. It also offers 3x zoom and 3-axis stabilisation.
As well as an immersive experience, Parrot says the FPV interface on the FreeFlight app will provide any safety alerts for obstacles or geofencing limits within your field of view. Anafi says:
The main FPV HUD shows contextual information, such as flight speed, direction, altitude and drone location. But with the click of a button on top of the Cockpitglasses, you can easily swap to a minimal HUD interface, so you can fully immerse yourself into the FPV experience. You can even find your ANAFI in mid-air without removing the Cockpit glasses: Switch to See-Through View, and you’ll see live video from your smartphone camera. An overlay shows the exact position of your drone — and if your ANAFI is off-screen, an icon points to its location.
The Anafi drone will also get two new flight presets in FreeFlight 6.6, which include a racing preset that locks the horizontal axis to the tilt of your drone and a cinematic preset where the horizontal axis is locked to the tilt of the Anafi drone.
