Panasonic has announced the latest addition to its popular ’Travel Zoom’ TZ cameras, introducing the Panasonic TZ200, price tag £729 with a March release date.

Chief among the Panasonic TZ200 specs sheet is a revamped lens offering 15x zoom and a 24-360mm equivalent focal length. Like its sibling, the TZ100, the Panasonic TZ200 boasts a 1-inch High Sensitivity MOS sensor, and Panasonic says it becomes the only 1-inch-sensor compact on the market offering 15x zoom.

Panasonic has also improved the TZ200’s Live View Finder (LVF), bumping its resolution up to 2,330K dots, as well as its magnification ratio.

On the back of the TZ200 is a 3-inch touchscreen LCD with 1240k-dot resolution.

Other features include Light SpeedAF and Panasonic’s Depth From Defocus (DFD) technology, which speeds up focusing times. The new Panasonic camera can also shoot raw files and boasts built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Panasonic TZ200 price tag will be £729, with a release date set for early March 2018.
