Panasonic will release a paid-for software update for its full-frame S1camera that will expand its video capabilities with 10-bit and V-log recording.
No price was given for the new features, which will become available in July from authorised Panasonic dealers.
New features in the Panasonic S1 firmware update will include:
- 4:2:2 10-bit 4K 24p/30p internal video recording
- 4:2:2 10-bit 4K 60p HDMI output
- Full V-Log recording
The new V-Log recording option will offer users an extra two stops of dynamic range compared to the V-Log option on the Panasonic GH5 and GH5S.
