Panasonic has announced the LUMIX GX880 – price tag £399.99 / €449.00 – a new compact mirrorless camera released to the European market that packs in the features with 4K photo and video capabilities. The GX880 is available from retailers such as Park Cameras and Wex Photo Video.
The camera’s retro look and feel has been refined with the latest technology, including a flip-up rear screen that makes it an ideal choice for shooting selfies or filming a snapshot video for your vlog.
Today image is everything and to ensure the camera captures the highest quality images this compact interchangeable lens camera features Panasonic’s latest 16-megapixel Digital Live CMOS sensor.
This sensor boosts quality with a combination of Panasonic’s Venus Engine and a sensor design that omits a low-pass filter. This should result in high-resolution and detailed images with plenty of contrast and impressive colour.
Making sure that the Panasonic GX880 is able to capture the best quality photos whatever the lighting conditions the camera features an ISO range that peaks at 25600.
The Panasonic GX880 also boasts a high-tech Contrast AF System features DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology. This technology enables ultra-fast connection between the lens and camera.
As well as shooting stills these days the video quality is equally important. With QFHD 4K video with a resolution of 3840×2160 at 30p / 25p dependent on your region selection.
As well as the high-resolution video the GX880 packs in other features such as Focus Stacking, Post Focus and Light Composition, Creative Control, Creative Panorama and Photo Style including L.Monochrome
