OnePlus has announced its latest flagship phone, the 6T, which brings improvements to the camera mainly in terms of low-light performance.

On board the OnePlus 6T is the same 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.7 lens and 20-megapixel secondary camera also with an f/1.7 lens dual cam setup found on the OnePlus 6. Only the primary camera has optical stabilisation.

However, a new Nightscape mode promises better detail in low light, with reduced noise and a wider dynamic range.

There’s also a Studio Lighting that – as you may guess – recreates the effects of different types of studio lights.

The OnePlus 6T keeps the Snapdragon 845 chipset found in the 6, and also promises 20% longer battery life from its 3,700mAh battery.

The 6.41-inch AMOLED display also boasts a new on-screen fingerprint reader.

The OnePlus 6T can also record 4K at 60fps, as well as capture slow motion footage in 1080p at 240fps or 720p at 480fps.

The OnePlus 6T price tag will be $550 with a release date set for 1 November.
