Olympus has announced the PEN E-PL10, price tag £549.99, a new lightweight entry-level mirrorless camera released to the European market.

Billed as ‘lighter than a 500ml bottle of water’, the Olympus PEN E-PL10 follows on from the PEN E-PL9 and offers a 16-megapixel Live MOS sensor paired with the same TruePic VIII image processor found in Olympus’s professional cameras.

Its in-body stabilisation provides up to 3.5 steps of shutter speed compensation. The E-PL10 can also shoot 4K video at up to 30p.

All the popular 16 Olympus Art Filters are on hand, along with a new Fine Tune option within some of the options that allows you to fine-tune and customise the effect for your image.

On the back is a 1040k-dot tilting touchscreen with Touch AF, Touch Shutter and a number of other direct controls.

Other features include built-in WiFi and Bluetooth via which you can share images directly using Olympus’s OI.Share app.

Olympus PEN E-PL10 Price & Release Date

The Olympus PEN E-PL10 price tag is £549.99 for the body only. The E-PL10 price rises to £649.99 for the camera plus the M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ lens.

What’s more, Olympus is offering a free 45mm lens worth £279.99 with all orders from its online shop while stocks last.

The PEN E-PL10 is available in white, brown or black.
