Olympus has announced the OM-D E-M10 Mark IV, price tag £699.99, which boasts a new 20-megapixel sensor and 5-axis in-body image stabilisation.

Built for portability, the compact OM-D E-M10 Mark IV comes in a lightweight body that is the smallest OM-D camera Olympus has made to date. Olympus compares its weight to a 500ml bottled beverage, even when combined with the kit lens.

Inside the camera is a newly designed 20-megapixel Live MOS sensor and 5-axis image stabilisation that provides up to 4.5 shutter speed steps of compensation.

The OM-D E-M10 Mark IV can also record 4K video with 5-axis stabilisation.

A revamped AF system promises greater precision in C-AF mode for focusing on moving subjects, while Olympus has also added its Face Priority and Eye Priority AF modes.

The E-M10 Mark IV is also capable of shooting 15fps in its continuous shooting mode.

On the back of the new Olympus camera is a flip-down LCD, designed for vlogging or selfies. There’s also a high-definition electronic viewfinder.

Other features include built-in Bluetooth and WiFi, new Art Filters, a Scene mode, Advanced Photo mode and Olympus’s popular Live Composite mode.
