November Competition Theme: Night Skies and Fireworks

How to photography fireworks
News

The longer darker evenings of November have arrived. For many photographers, it can mean less time out with their camera. However, on a clear night, you can capture some spectacular images. And let’s not forget that here in the UK, we like to set off a few fireworks at this time of year.

With that in mind, we’ve made the Night Sky and Fireworks the theme for the November round of our monthly photography competition. You don’t have to include both in your shot, but we thought it might be nice to broaden the brief a little.

How to enter

You can enter via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. You just need to tag us @camerajabber and include this month’s  #tag, #skyjabber.

Our competition runs until the end of the year with each month having a different theme. The night sky theme will run until December when we’ll pick a winner from the November entries and award the prize of a Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD with SD adaptor memory card worth £78.99.

If you need some help with photographing fireworks take a look this post.

At the end of the year, we’ll pick our favourite image from each of the monthly winners and the photographer will receive a 250GB Samsung SSD T5 portable storage unit worth £125.49.

We’ll announce the winner of our October round (autumn) in the next few days.

Competition Monthly Prize: Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD card

About the prizes

The Samsung 128GB EVO Plus microSD card is a UHS-I U3 Class 10 memory card and it comes with an SD card adapter.  It’s also 4K compatible and suited for use in cameras and other devices that accept either a microSD or an SD card. Backed by Samsung’s 4-proof protection these cards are ultra reliable and are water, temperature, X-ray and magnetic proof making them the perfect partner for an action cam like a GoPro Hero7 Black, a mirrorless camera like the Fuji X-E3 or a DSLR like the Nikon D3400 – and a host of others.
