Nissin launches MG80 Pro flashgun

News

Nissin has launched a new MG80 Pro flashgun – its price tag not yet announced – which offers both commander and slave modes and will be available for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fujifilm and Olympus users.

The Nissin MG80 Pro offers a Guide Number of 60 and features an 8W LED modelling light and removable fresnel lens.

The 83Ws flash also has a heat-resistant head and is compatible with both AA NiMH and Lithium-ion (Type 14500) batteries. Nissin says you can expect a recycling time of 1.5secs with the Li-ion batteries, but this rises to 3.8secs with the AA option.

The Nissin MG80 Pro has a range of up to 100m and a zoom mode that covers focal lengths from 24mm up to 200mm. It also supports TTL, manual control and HSS.

You’ll also find ports for both SD and microSD cards for upgrading the flashgun’s firmware and a built-in colour LCD.
