Nikon has registered patents for two new cameras, fuelling speculation they could be the rumoured Nikon Z5 and Z30 mirrorless cameras.
Nokishita reports that Nikon has registered two new cameras in Russia under the patent numbers N1929 and N1932. New cameras tend to be announced around a month to three months from such registrations.
Nikon Rumors has suggested one camera will be the Nikon Z5, an entry-level full-frame mirrorless model that will sit under the Nikon Z6.
The second camera it suggests will be the Nikon Z30, which will sit under the Nikon Z50 APS-C format model.
What’s more, Nikon Rumors suggests that a pro-level mirrorless camera will be announced later this year or in early 2021.
