Nikon temporarily suspends shipping of 100th anniversary D5, D500, lenses until October

News

Nikon has temporarily suspended shipping of its 100th anniversary edition D5, D500 and three-lens set, the company has announced.

In a statement, Nikon Japan blamed the delay on due to the special 100th Anniversary logo peeling off some of the metal cases that come with the anniversary edition cameras and lenses.

The company said it’s working to resolve this issue and plans to resume shipping in late October 2017. Nikon will continue accepting orders for the products through 31 August as planned.

As well as the 100th anniversary edition Nikon D5 and D500, the Nikkor triple f/2.8 zoom lens set 100th anniversary edition is also affected.

Nikon added that if you’ve already received one of these products and the logo has peeled off the case, it will replace the case.
