Nikon has released a new firmware update for the Z7 full-frame mirrorless camera, which fixes a bug reported by users and adds some performance enhancements.

Nikon Z7 firmware version 1.01 resolves an issue reported by some users where the camera would stop responding during burst photography when raw (NEF) was selected in the image quality settings.

The bug was also reported when silent photography mode was enabled in the photo shooting menu.

Nikon says that Z7 firmware version 1.01 also adds the following:

If Enable release is selected for Slot empty release lock in the SETUP MENU, the Image review option in the PLAYBACK MENU can now be accessed when no memory card is inserted.
