Nikon has announced the Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S, price tag £1,099 / €1,299, a new S-series zoom lens aimed at travel, portraits and landscapes.
The new wide to mid-telephoto Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S offers a constant aperture of f/4 for a consistent look and feel across stills and video. The new Nikon lens is also aimed at videographers thanks to its limited focus breathing and stable exposures when moving from indoors to out.
The lightweight, compact lens body employs a multi-focusing system that uses two AF drive units for faster, more precise autofocus.
Nikon’s ARNEO and Nano Crystal Coatings help keep ghosting and flare at bay, while Nikon’s Fluorine coating helps repel dirt. The Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S is also sealed to protect the lens from dust and moisture.
Other features include a 0.39x maximum reproduction ration and customisable controls, including a dedicated function button and control ring users can assign different functions to.
The Nikon Nikkor Z 24-120mm f/4 S release date will be sometime in winter 2021.
