Nikon has announced the NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S lens, price tag £1,049/$997/€1,249, with a release date set for 17 October.
The new Nikon Z 24mm f/1.8 expands the company’s S range of mirrorless prime lenses and provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.25m.
Like Nikon’s other S lenses, the Z 24mm features the company’s anti-reflection Nano Crystal Coat to reduce ghosting and flare, and it’s also weather-sealed to protect it from water and dust.
Nikon says the NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S is also designed for video recording, promising silent AF and shallow depth of field effects.
A control ring can be used for silent aperture control or for adding some exposure compensation. There is also a focus ring for manually focusing the lens.
You can buy the Nikon Z 24mm f/1.8 S at retailers such as Adorama, B&H Photo Video, Wex Photo Video and Park Cameras.
