Nikon has issued a Technical Service Advisory for Z6 and Z7 owners due a fault with the Vibration Reduction feature on some models.
Nikon says it has become aware that the VR feature on some Z6 and Z7 cameras does not function fully and is offering affected users a free repair, including the cost of shipping.
To check if your camera is affected, Nikon has provided a list of Z6 serial numbers and a list of Z7 serial numbers of cameras that could have the issue.
To find your Nikon Z6 or Z7 camera’s serial number, lift the camera’s LCD on the back of the camera and the serial number will be the 7-digit number printed on the label affixed to the camera body.
If your camera is affected, Nikon will provide details on how to get in touch and organise the repair.
