Western Digital has unveiled a new range of storage solutions aimed at professionals with its WD Pro series solutions.
Among the WD Pro series are the My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi mobile storage and My Cloud Pro Series network
The My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi mobile storage allows photographers to use a direct Wi-Fi connection to back up images from compatible cameras, as well as save, edit and transfer work from up to eight other devices connected to the drive.
The My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi features a built-in SD card reader as well as a USB 2.0 port, and it is is available in capacities up to 3TB.
Another key selling point of the My Passport Wireless Pro device is what Western Digital says is its 10 hours of battery life, with a built-in battery pack that can be used to charge phones.
My Passport Wireless Pro is compatible with Adobe’s Creative Cloud apps for mobile photo and video editing.
WD’s My Cloud Pro Series offers photographers up to 32TB of storage and the ability to import images from cameras and memory card readers with a one-touch backup button.
The hard drive also boasts a hardware accelerated video processor, allowing the My Cloud Pro Series NAS to edit, store and stream content to and from popular formats, such as 4K video.
Again, the My Cloud Pro Series is compatible with Adobe’s Creative Cloud for editing images.
The WD My Passport Wireless Pro Wi-Fi mobile price tag starts at £189.99 and rises to £209.99 depending on capacity.
Western Digital’s My Cloud Pro Series price tags start at £379.99 and rise up to £1,899.99 depending on configuration and capacity.
