Memery has launched a new app called Dragonfly which it claims is a complete editing, organisation and storage solution for drone video footage.

Memery, which makes location-based video apps, has launched Dragonfly on the App Store. Dragonfly works by transfering video from your drone to your phone immediately after a flight without having to remove your memory card.

Your phone then transfers this video footage on to the cloud in the background the next time it connects to a WiFi network.

What’s more, Dragonfly will also automatically organise your video on a map and in filtered galleries. The app for drone pilots also creates automatic video mixes of your drone flights which you can share to social media, send via text or save to your phone.

Dragonfly is compatible with most of DJI’s drones, including the newly announced Spar, Mavic, Phantom 3, Phantom 4 and Inspire.

Throughout July Memery is offering Dragonfly at 50% off its normal pricing. What’s more, everyone who purchases Dragonfly in July will be automatically entered into a contest to win a DJI Spark, along with other prizes.

The app itself is free, and it’s pricing structure is based on backup and storage. For up to 10GB of backup and storage there is no cost. For 50GB you’ll pay $1.49 in July ($2.99 normally). Up to 300GB backup and storage costs $9.99 ($12.99). And for 1TB it’s $29.99 ($39.99).

In a separate move, Memery also announced that it has added DJI’s former VP of Engineering, Darron Liccardo, to its advisory board to help guide its technical strategy.
