MPB, the world’s biggest online platform for used photography and videography kit has announced the five pieces of kit that have been selected by public vote to go into The Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame Class of 2022.

The Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame celebrates the cameras and lenses that have made a mark in the digital photography and film industry. MPB worked with a global nominating committee comprising some of the industry’s esteemed photographers and journalists (including me) to decide a shortlist of 25 products to go to a public vote.

The inductees to the Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame Class of 2022 are:

Classic inductee: Fujifilm X-T2
Game Changer inductee: DJI Mavic 3
Iconic inductee: Fujifilm X100
Road Tested inductee: Nikon Z7
Trendsetter inductee: Leica Q2

This was the third year of the Hall of Fame and it brought in a record vote with 117,955 votes cast from 105 countries. Five voters also won a Fujifilm X100.

Matt Barker, CEO and founder of MPB said, ‘I’m delighted by this year’s response. Each year Hall of Fame gets bigger and bigger. This years votes have exceeded the past two years combined, which is an incredible achievement and testament to how much excitement and debate there is around the best photo and video kit. We launched the Photo and Video Kit Hall of Fame to give visual creatives around the world an exciting way to engage in their passion, with a chance to immortalise their favourite kit. The votes are an attestation of the love people have for camera kit.’
