Manfrotto and its sister company in the Vitec Group, Wooden Camera, have launched a new Camera Cage range designed for high-end DSLRs and mirrorless cameras.

The new Manfrotto Camera Cages come in Small, Medium and Large sizes, along with a baseplate. The small and medium options feature an integrated lens adapter that supports Wooden Camera and Metabones adapters.

The Large model offers height-adjustable rod clamps, allowing you to position 15mm rods at the correct distance to the center of the lens.

The cages are designed so that photographers retain access to their camera’s right-side grip, enabling them to remove the battery without having to take the camera out of its cage.

The Cages’ mounting points are also situated on the top and side, leaving your camera’s controls accessible.

They also employ a modular design, which Manfrotto says means they can be used with ‘a broad range of mirrorless and DSLR camera types.’

Other features include a reversible top handle that can either be repositioned over the lens area or converted into a side handle and an HDMI cable clamp that secures video cables and prevents port damage.

The handle mount features a cold shoe and 15mm tube clamp for mounting Wooden Camera UVF Mount kits.

All three Manfrotto Camera Cage models feature 1/4” attachments to connect accessories, as well as Manfrotto’s 3/8 anti-rotation attachment.

The Manfrotto Camera Cages are priced from £289.95. For more details visit Manfrotto’s website.
