While adverts would have us believe otherwise, the majority of drone users in the UK are age 50 or older, according to new research.
A survey conducted by DronesDirect.co.uk found that 31% of UK drone users are aged 55 and over and 28% are aged 45-54, while just 10% are aged 18-24 and 12% are aged 25-34. One in five, or 19%, of 35-44 years say they own a drone.
Also interesting from the survey is that more than two-thirds, or 68%, who use a drone say photography was their chief reason for doing so.
What’s more, the survey found that the proportion of UK drone users is overwhelmingly male, at 96%.
