Aurora HDR software has reached half a million downloads since its launch just 7 months ago, according to its maker, Macphun.

The all-in-one HDR photo editor for Mac users was co-developed with HDR photographer Trey Ratcliff and now boasts 100,000 monthly active users.

To celebrate the achievement, Macphun has teamed up with some of the market-leading photography magazines in the US, UK and Australia to feature HDR images on a monthly basis. Partner magazines will include The Outdoor Photographer (USA), Digital Photography (USA), Digital Camera (UK), and Australian Photography (AU).

For the next four months, each magazine will feature one HDR photo on their back cover which has been created by Aurora HDR users.
