Lexar is back with world-class leading flash memory

News

Many big brands have taken a hit through the financial crisis, and one of the biggest names in flash storage, Lexar, was one.

In June 2017 Micron the parent company announced to a shocked photographic world that the Lexar brand would cease to exist.

However, today, it has been announced that Lexar will return to full production of its flash storage ranges and shipping globally this autumn.

As yet there are no further details as to whether there will be any changes to the past line-up that included memory cards, card readers, solid state drives (SSDs) and USB flash drives.

In a statement from the company, Lexar CEO Huabo Cai said

“I’m extremely excited to re-introduce the Lexar brand to our worldwide customers. Lexar is dynamic, has superior research and development capabilities, and has a deep understanding of our customer’s needs. At the same time, we are confident that we can expand the Lexar business successfully in different markets globally.”

“For more than twenty years of innovative development, Lexar has been a world-renowned brand in the field of flash memory and trusted by bringing unparalleled storage experience and creating unequivocal value for business users and consumers.”

This is the first news that we have had from Lexar and the new direction under the new parent company, Longsys. We’ll bring you more information and details as soon as we hear.
